“I always wonder why birds stay in the same place when they can fly anywhere on the earth. Then I ask myself the same question.”
About Josh
Originally from Detroit, Michigan, and born in 1992. I am fortunate to have had the privilege of travel all my life. I often say that I have been to a lot of places and have seen a lot of things, I have met a lot of people and have done a lot of stuff. In 2012
I began to travel independently and use manual-exposure digital cameras. Since then, I have started my own business for my photography, and am in pursuit of inspiring others to travel.
”I never really miss home anymore. I know I'll get back there eventually. I'm more concerned with the peoples, places, things, and experiences I may not get twice. I'm always excited for the adventure and doing things that people back home only fantasize about and never act on. I'm always trying to get away from home. There's more out there for me than Metro Detroit”.
“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one’s lifetime.”
About the Images
The "photograph" is a recording of light: photo [light] - graph [drawn or written]. The photograph, or exposure, is a measurement, or scaling, of light taken from a moment in time. In color photography, it can be thought of as the gradation of hues across the visible light spectrum; in monochrome photography, as a contrast in intensity of direct visible light. Overall, photographic images are "paintings of light within a frame". What is within the frame is everything, what is outside of the frame is nothing.
The photographs exhibited on this website were captured as they happened with digital equipment. Images were not "photoshoped" or abridged to add or remove unwanted or unnecessary artifacts, but they are processed, developed, and enhanced using Adobe Lightroom. All photography is genuine; and all edits and adjustments are respective to elements such as crop, exposure, contrast, clarity, vibrance, saturation, luminance etc.
